Meghan Markle is ‘leading’ her husband like the Queen did with Philip, with ‘passive Harry’ following ‘like a plus one’
THE DUKE and Duchess of Sussex visited the United States Navy SEALs last night, following Harry hitting back at claims he ‘snubbed Charles’ birthday party.
At the event, body language expert Judi James claims the couple “echoed” how the late Queen interacted with husband Prince Philip – with Meghan in the lead.
The royal couple opened a new training base in San Diego and cut the ribbon to a new fitness centre for veterans.
Judi told Fabulous: “There are echoes of the kind of ‘shared reading’ poses the late Queen used to do with Philip back in the days of their engagement, only then it would be Philip towering over Elizabeth as she sat reading, but with the roles and power roles reversed here.
“Harry looks happy but passive.
“Meghan behaved as though this was an event where her star shone the brightest, with Harry following along like a ‘Plus one’.”
At one point, Meghan ushered Harry forwards, and Judi observed: “As Harry chatted, Meghan extended an arm to touch his back in a very public signal that suggested he needed to move on or hurry up and step to the front.
“It was a maternal/child-looking gesture.”
Judi claimed that rather than “emerging and walking as a couple, Meghan set off ahead, sparking some signals of anxiety from Harry.”
She said this could be seen in the way Harry “held his jacket together with one hand at his waist in a barrier ritual before rubbing his hands together in a nervous-looking gesture before being greeted by the hosts.”
However, when Meghan and Harry came together, they looked like a “close-knit double act”, according to the expert.
She said: “The couple’s body language from this event shows two people so physically close they look almost glued together with Meghan appearing to be expressing a point using an engaged and excited eye expression and smile while Harry leans in fondly with a facial expression softened by affection, to look at the photo or document Meghan is holding.
“Their proximity here looks exaggerated as though they are keen to show themselves emphatically as a close-knit double act with a very royal profile.”
This follows Prince Harry hitting back at claims he snubbed King Charles AGAIN by rejecting an invitation to the monarch’s 75th birthday bash.
The Duke of Sussex slammed circulating reports – and denied he even received the suggested olive branch to Clarence House next week.
In response to growing speculation this was the latest signal there are no intentions to thaw frosty relations, a spokesperson for the former royal called the claims “disappointing”.
“In response to UK media headlines, there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday,” the spokesperson told the Messenger.
As reported by the Messenger, a source claimed The Palace “never reached out” regarding a birthday invitation.
King Charles is understood to be welcoming in his 75th birthday on November 14 with an intimate gathering of family and close friends.
However sources, now disputed by Harry, told The Sunday Times that the 39-year-old, has no intention of leaving Meghan in the US to see his father.
