I’m a theme park nanny – trolls don’t get why rich parents pay me to enjoy rides with their kids, it’s the best job ever
IT is often said that life is a rollercoaster, but for this nanny it literally is!
Having visited her first theme park at just 13, childminder and influencer Cyan Nardiello has made a living from taking other people’s kids on big rides and it’s not for the faint hearted.
Based in the US’s theme park capital, Orlando, the 24-year-old spends her days visiting Disneyland, Epcot and Universal Studios.
With prices ranging from between $30-135 per hour, Cyan’s services cost more than the price of entry tickets but families are still eager to sign up.
Unsurprisingly, her profession has captured the imagination of both young and old with the so called ‘Theme Park Nanny’ rapidly gaining over 71,000 followers on TikTok.
Though it sounds like a dream come true, she regularly shares the less sparkly elements of her job which includes lengthy ques and regularly working over 10 hours per day.
In her latest video, the 24-year-old shared what her typical day looks like with the influencer working in the happiest place on Earth: Disneyland.
With a 10-year-old in tow, the nanny got the day off to a flying start with a ride on the Mine Train before getting into pole position on the Tron Late Cycle Run.
For those who weren’t already feeling dizzy, she then completes a further two rides, Space Mountain and Big Thunder, all before 11am.
Things took an eerie turn around midday, with a quick stop at the Haunted Mansion and visiting the various waxworks at the Hall of Presidents.
Even the most impressive of parents might be starting to flag, but Cyan’s 13 hour shift continued as she picked up another two children in the afternoon.
Skipping over to Epcot, the group continued to enjoy the various amusements at the theme park long after it got dark.
Though the nanny has to endure long hours, many of her fans dream of following in her footsteps.
One even joked that she would give up her current career, writing: “I am in the wrong business. Paid to have fun all day, what the heck am I doing!”
Another agreed, virtually begging for a role at Cyan’s company: “Are you hiring?! I’m a local and I’d love this so much!”
Despite the fun and games, many were confused as to why the parents would miss out on making memories with their children.
“I don’t get it? Do the parents not want to spend time with their kids?” questioned a third, adding: ”Why go to Disney world on vacation if you aren’t with your kids?
While their decision might confuse some of the Theme Park Nanny’s fans, it means that Cyan is still living the dream at Disney most days of the week.
Where do we sign up?
