I live on a bus for FREE with my whole family – our parking spots aren’t very glam… but they’re incredibly convenient
A MUM who lives on a bus for free with her whole family says their parking spaces aren’t very glam – but they are incredibly convenient.
Ashley, her husband Alex and their two kids travel around America full-time in a converted inter-city coach.
The family sometimes park the bus in a surprising spot overnight – the supermarket.
Posting on TikTok, Ashley said: “Do we live at Walmart? The quick answer is sometimes.
“But never for more than one night at a time. You see, Walmart is mostly used for a quick stop-over on a long trip.
“It can be a great place to rest for the night, get some groceries and recharge for the next day’s drive.
“It’s a good idea to make sure with each individual store that they do allow overnight parking at that particular location.”
The family live with their dog Berkeley and their cat Callie inside the converted Greyhound bus.
The coach has space for a pantry, kitchen, office area, bathtub, two bedrooms and a living room complete with a sofa.
Ashley said: “We got our bus for a good deal, but then ran into other issues and had to get it all fixed up.
“We have learned a lot about the bus and how to keep it up, so it’s a plus and minus.”
