Two minute task you should do every morning if you struggle with condensation & the 2p hack to stop it coming back
A CLEANING whizz has shared how to tackle condensation with an easy 2p trick and a task you should always complete first thing in the morning.
The arrival of winter comes with festivities, mulled wine, gifts and… condensation, which can, in turn, lead to the growth of mould.
The cleaning whizz regularly shares tips and tricks on TikTok, where her page boasts over 100k followers[/caption] According to Lynsey, the windows will appear a little smudged – but you will still be able to see through them[/caption]According to research by Homebrite, the problem is huge in the UK – an astronomical 58 per cent of privately rented households are struggling with damp, mould and/or excessive cold – this is a staggering 2.7 million homes.
But not only can mould make for an unsightly mess – and even devalue your property – the common fungi can affect also lead to a number of health-related issues.
Being exposed to and inhaling the mould spores can cause a range of problems, including sneezing, a runny nose, red eyes and skin rash.
The NHS warned that those particularly vulnerable are people with respiratory problems, respiratory infections, allergies or asthma, as well as babies and the elderly.
However, whilst there are numerous ways to tackle this, such as switching the heating on, many cash-strapped households are not able to afford these effective methods.
Luckily, one whizz, Queen of Clean, has come to rescue with a few tips and tricks to banish the problem – and according to her, there is one task you should complete every single morning without a fail.
Taking to TikTok, the cleaning pro urged Brits to wipe their wet windows the moment they get up, preferably with a good quality microfiber cloth, as well as open the windows for a bit.
She explained in her video: ”You can get mould that starts appearing around the window frame.
”If it’s wood, it can actually start soaking into the mould and it can actually make it start to smell.
”So just make it a priority every morning to go around your house with microfiber cloths.”

Once the windows are all dry, the guru – whose real name is Lynsey – advised to continue the process with a simple 2p hack – and all you will need is a dash of washing-up soap.
According to the expert, who posts under the username @lynsey_queenofclean, the kitchen staple will create a barrier which will stop the water from sticking onto your windows.
The easy trick, she added, is so effective that even her mum still uses it – and Lynsey’s nan also swears by it.
”A couple of driving instructors messaged me and said that this is what they do to stop all the, you know, cars all being sort of wet inside in the morning.”
Hundreds of fellow cleaning enthusiasts on the platform raced to comments to thank the pro and share their thoughts.
”I’m going to try this today, windows were AWFUL this morning despite habving ‘dehumidifiers and it’s a new build,” one couldn’t wait to give the hack a go.
Someone else claimed: ”You can also put cat litter in a sock, this absorbed the moisture.”
”I use the little throw-away dehumudifiers and put one on each windowsill, works for me,” a third chimed in.
”It definitely works, I did it yesterday,” another left a positive review.
