Fears William and Harry rift is getting worse as Wills and Kate ‘will skip Christmas at Sandringham’ if Meghan is there
FEARS that the rift between brothers William and Harry is getting worse are rife as Wills and Kate “will skip Christmas at Sandringham” if Meghan is there.
The once-fab four have avoided each other over the festive period since 2018 with Harry and Meghan deciding to exile themselves and stay firmly put in Montecito, California.
While it’s currently claimed that an invite to the Royal Family Christmas has not yet been sent to the Sussexes’ £12million villa, sources say the couple would accept the King‘s welcome.
But experts have since suggested a Sandringham reunion would not occur.
Royal author Phil Dampier said William and Kate would prefer to stay out of Meghan and Harry’s way following months of bombshell claims.
It comes after the Duke and Duchess repeatedly slammed the Firm in Netflix documentaries, shocking interviews, podcasts and memoirs.
Phil said: “If, and it’s a big if, Harry and Meghan did come over for Christmas I wouldn’t bank on William and Kate being there.
“They might decide they are due a Christmas Day with the Middletons!”
Insiders alleged that Harry and Meghan have however, been invited to spend New Year at the Scottish estate.
Their visit would come while Wills and Kate see 2024 in with their kids in Norfolk.
The move could mean the brothers both get the chance to see dad Charles over the festive period, with William currently set on being at Sandringham.
A source told MailOnline: “It would certainly have the advantage of killing two birds with one stone.
“Extending an olive branch to one son without causing difficulty to the other.”
Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment.
