Nineties R&B legends unrecognisable as they perform 30 years after selling 20 million records
THE talent behind the nineties hit ‘I Swear’ look very different now from when they first stepped into the limelight.
All-4-One first arrived on the R&B scene in 1993 and won a Grammy Award just two years later.
The group is made up of best friends Jamie Jones, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez and Tony Borowiak.
They recently posed for a photo together as they performed in Edmonton, Canada to a huge crowd of loyal fans.
Sharing the photo with his fans, Delious wrote in the caption: “Great show in Edmonton!”
“Way to blow it out cuz!!” one fan replied.
Alfred Nevarez was missing from the performance, but is still very much part of the group.
Their timeless hit, ‘I swear’, was the number one selling single in 1994 and is still on Billboard’s Hot 100.
It was named one of the most successful singles of all time and is named by ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) as one of the greatest songs of the 20th century.
Their song ‘I Can Love You Like That’ and ‘Someday’ have also been featured in multiple films and tv shows like Space Jam, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Simpsons.
After 30 years, the group have never broken up and are as tight-knit as ever.
Speaking in an interview in 2020, Jamie told Hit Up Ange: “You know, it’s amazing. 25 years, you know, we’ve never broke up.
“We’ve done shows every year and it’s just been amazing. It’s fun being with some of your best friends and being able to do what you love.”
Jamie, Tony and Alfred met at a talent show after they’d finished high school.
They got together to record some jingles for a radio station, which was when they realised that they enjoyed singing together.
Not long after, Jamie met a producer through his church who told him that if he can get a group together then he would give them a record deal.
The group decided they needed one more voice, and as luck had it they met Delious at a karaoke show.
Jamie joked that their love songs were often picked as wedding songs and “baby-making music”.
They also had a residency in Las Vegas in 2019 for the I Love 90’s tour, which saw thousands of their fans attend.
