Nigel Farage’s lawyers send angry letter to I’m A Celeb bosses as he’s repeatedly shown naked
NIGEL Farage’s legal team have complained to ITV over repeatedly showing the former politician naked.
The 59-year-old has stripped off to shower on I’m A Celeb and his naked bum has been shown to viewers on a number of occasions.
According to reports, the Brexit supporter’s aides have claimed there is an ‘indecency’ clause in his contract, which is supposed to ban bosses from showing him with his kit off.
Just days into the show Nigel was shown showering and then again in the bath – leaving those watching at home and his campmates shocked.
ITV confirmed they have received a complaint but have stated there is nothing in his contract stopping him being showed naked.
An insider told the Mail On Sunday: “The legal team were not exactly over the moon about the naked scenes being shown. It simply broke the clause in the contract.
“Nigel will be surprised at the incredible reaction to it when he comes out because, as always, he is just being himself in the jungle. Who knows – maybe he could even do a calendar next year.”
Nigel is said to be the highest paid contestant in the show’s history – and it reportedly getting £1.5 million for his stint.
Meanwhile, The Sun On Sunday told how ITV’s top boss shocked at a star studded event by making a lewd gesture about Nigel.
Managing director Kevin Lygo, 66, was accompanied on stage at ITV’s gala event by a sign language interpreter.
In front of dozens of ITV stars including Susanna Reid, Davina McCall and Lorraine Kelly he joked: “Thank you to the signer — I don’t know any sign language, I just know the sign for Nigel Farage.”
Mr Lygo then made a lewd one-handed gesture.
He went on to say about the former Ukip and Brexit Party leader: “Don’t worry, he knows he has to come home from Australia in a dinghy.”
