Strictly Come Dancing ‘fix’ row rages on as fans fume star was undermarked AGAIN
STRICLTY Come Dancing fans are convinced that Nigel Harman keeps getting undermarked – and have branded the show a fix.
The former EastEnders star, 50, performed a rumba on last night’s show with Katya Jones to It’s All Coming Back To Me Now by Celine Dion.
The dance received good comments from the judges – Anton Du Beke called the performance “super duper”.
Craig Revel Horwood said: “I would have liked to have seen a bit of hip action… but your arms were absolutely gorgeous.”
But Nigel scored a total of just 33 points, and many viewers felt that other celebs had received more criticism but had still been marked higher.
Taking to X to discuss the result, one person wrote: “So Layton gets criticised and scores 34, Nigel hardly gets any criticism but only scores 33? Make it make sense. Why do they ALWAYS under mark Nigel, it’s getting beyond a joke now.”
A second added: “Nigel’s been stitched up again judges gave no mistakes but still undermarked. Hope audience vote saves him from dance off, was amazing tonight deserved higher spot & saving this week.”
While a third said: “How on earth can the judges give higher points for Annabel’s boring uneventful paso over Nigel’s riveting rumba? Talk about a fix! This programme is becoming a joke.”
And another asked: “Why is Nigel so insanely undermarked compared to other contestants?”
The steamy dance also raised questions amongst viewers about whether Nigel and Katya had nearly kissed.
The disappointment comes after last week Nigel appeared to storm off the Strictly stage after judges panned his quickstep.
Meanwhile, former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola received the highest score of the night from the judges with 37 points.
