Stacey Solomon ‘house shamed’ as she reveals incredible Christmas door with giant nutcracker and huge baubles
STACEY Solomon has been ‘house- shamed’ after revealing her incredible front door after a stunning Christmas transformation at Pickle Cottage.
The crafty star, 34, showed off her Nutcracker-themed entrance after creating her own giant props for the festive scene.
Stacey has been updating fans with her progress in recent days on her instagram as she crafted her own giant nutcracker and enormous baubles.
Now the makeover is complete and she proudly unveiled the spectacular results – and christened her Nutcrackers Neil and Norman.
“Pride of place guarding Pickle Cottage,” the Loose Women panellist wrote as she posted a video of her hard work on social media.
“All I know is it’s taken me weeks to achieve but I’m so proud of our Christmas door 2023 handmade by me. Happy Sunday Everyone. Christmas is coming.”
Stacey crafted the nutcrackers out of three buckets, some pipe insulation and some guttering.
The baubles, meanwhile, were created from spray-painted space hoppers.
But while many of her die-hard followers were suitably impressed with the mum of five’s talents, several slammed her for her efforts.
One suggested she was flaunting her wealth, writing: “I can barely afford to put food in my table right now so no crimbo decs here aside from last years gonks but looks amazing.”
Another sniffed: “It’s about the feeling and spirit of Christmas not all these new decorations each year. I’m so bored of all these extravagances.”
A third questioned her taste, adding: “Sorry, dont like it – way too much for me.”
A fourth agreed, weighing in: “Stacey!! A trifle overstated … just saying.”
Many others jumped to Stacey’s defence however and sang her praises.
One wrote back to the follower criticising the expense, saying: “Stacey has reused a lot of stuff from years before plus it’s cheap plastic buckets for the guards”
Another lavished the Sort Your Life Out star with praise, gushing: “Oh my goodness this is unbelievable!”
“Talented as always,” agreed a third.
