I was sick of black mould in my bathroom…I found a cheap way to get rid of it using ingredients already in my cupboard
ARE you fed up of seeing black mould in your bathroom shower around the tiles?
A woman has revealed her easy method of getting rid of it with two everyday ingredients from her cupboard.
Carolina Mccauley, who regularly uploads home and cleaning hacks, showed her homemade cleaning solution which uses “only natural ingredients.”
On her @carolina.mccauley account, she wrote: “How to clean black mould.”
First you need to get some baking soda and vinegar from your cupboard, but you can pick them up quite cheaply from large supermarkets if you don’t have it.
Using a funnel, add one part water to a spray bottle.
Then add two parts vinegar and then finally put some baking soda inside too.
Carolina wrote: “Spray area and leave it for one hour.
“For really tough mould removal, add more baking soda to form a paste.
“Wipe it down after dry.
“Rinse the surface with water.”
Carolina showed her shower with black mould around the bottom of her tiles.
After her DIY process, she showed it looking pristine and back to normal, and added: “So much better.”
Her video has racked up over 47,000 likes, and people were quick to comment on the easy hack.
One said: “Tik tok has shown me that baking soda & vinegar is the answer to every cleaning issue.”
Another added: “Bleach does exactly the same thing lol no mixing required.”
Carolina replied: “The method in the video is safer for kids pets etc.”
A third commented: “going to try it tomorrow thank u for the idea.”
