Men call me a ‘linebacker’ over my broad shoulders, excuse me sir, I look like a feminine goddess
A BODY positive influencer has shared a “self love reminder” about liking her broad shoulders.
She was called a “linebacker” by men and has hit back at the haters.
She said that although women traditionally aren’t lauded for the body feature, she loves hers.
Influencer Madds (@madds.maxjesty) shares content about her life and body positivity for her 197,000 followers.
In a recent clip, she expressed the frustration she feels about women being criticized for not having narrow, traditionally feminine shoulders.
The video opened with Madds in her kitchen, standing and facing the camera.
She wore a black short-sleeved shirt and black trousers.
She stared down the camera while overlaid text appeared on the screen.
Madds wrote: “Trying to figure out while girls are called ‘linebackers’ for having broad shoulders even though it makes you look like a feminine goddess.”
The influencer turned sideways to show off a different angle of her “broad” upper body.
In the caption, she wrote: “Like sir I think you are mistaken,” referring to the above “linebacker” comment.
Viewers agreed with her judgment and commented their support.
One person wrote: “Because if you look like a goddess they’ll always try to knock you off that cloud.”
Another said: “You always look amazing.”
