Nick Pickard admits very honest reason he’s ‘glad to be out’ of I’m a Celeb jungle after shock elimination
I’M A CELEBRITY star Nick Pickard admitted he is “glad to be out” of the jungle following his shock eviction.
The Channel 4 actor, 48, was the fourth to be given the boot from the ITV series after sticking it out for 19 days in the jungle.
His I’m A Celebrity camp exit sparked “fix” rumours from stunned fans after it came down to him and This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, 38, in the bottom two.
Yet Nick, best known for playing Hollyoaks‘ Tony Hutchinson, was in high spirits as he appeared on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain.
Nick was chatting to entertainment anchor Richard Arnold as the pair perched by a table and two colourful cocktails.
He candidly said: “It’s a great experience and very overwhelming.
“I am glad to be out.
“Half of you wishes you could make it and get to the final because you’re honoured to be asked but the other half is thinking counting down the days, and if I come out now I have six days in a lovely place.
“Then I’ve just got to go to a party and go home.”
Talking of his return to the real world he said: “It’s amazing.
“It’s a little bit overwhelming when you come out because I’ve gone from being in the jungle to being in paradise.”
Nick then backed I’m A Celebrity alumni Sam Thompson to win.
Meanwhile, speaking to Ant and Dec after his exit last night, he talked of his final trial.
He said: “That was definitely the worst one.
“It’s all the bites and I’m not good in cars.
“It was terrible. I was numb by the end of it.
“It was without doubt the worse one.”
Meanwhile, last night’s eviction caused a stir among fans.
After they were left shocked by the result, they took to X – formerly known as Twitter in their droves as they labelled the result a ‘fix’.
One viewer fumed: “Oh come on Asif Josie and Danielle are still in there and Nick is out.
“That is shambolic, ITV must be keeping Josie in for their own benefit.”
