I worked at Morrisons making £10/h but now I rake in millions ….my hustle is so easy & I now drive posh Mercs & fly PJ
A SAVVY woman has shared how she went from making £10 an hour to earning millions a few years later thanks to her property business model.
Leena Ahmed, from the UK, found herself in a ”very toxic environment” when she was working at Morrisons, where the supermarket was paying her an hourly rate of £10.
Together with her best friend, Uzma, the duo felt as if they were just ”another number” for the companies they worked for.
Sharing their inspiring story on TikTok, the young woman said: ”Uzma also worked hours at a toxic job. We felt so unfulfilled with our lives and we had unleashed potential.
”We didn’t come from great living enviroments either,” she added, explaining that there would be four people sleeping in the same room.
At some point, the two realised enough was enough and decided to embark on a new journey – starting a business in the property world.
The idea, Leena shared more in the video, was relatively simple – they’d rent out properties they didn’t even own, using the Rent to Rent and Airbnb Arbitrage model.
This means the savvy duo rented the property from the landlord as a corporate let and then listed the space on Airbnb for £150 a night, sometimes more.
”We planned for the property to make us £1,000 profit a month.”
Although it was a bumpy ride and at times they felt like giving up, Leena and Uzma, 21, knew they had to work hard to make it work – and luckily for the besties, their efforts paid off.
”Our dreams were turning into reality,” Leena said, adding they were making over a whopping £1.6k ”every other day”.
”It honestly did not feel real until it came into our bank. It was the best feeling to get these notifications [from Airbnb].”
After a while of continous extra income and the side hustle paying off, Leena also made the decision to quit her job, sending a formal resignation email to the employer.
”This was a big moment for me because I never knew when I was going to leave this place.”
Loaded with extra cash, the two young women then reinvested the profits back into the business and got even more property units – after all, there were so many people they felt they ”needed to prove wrong”.
Today, Leena claimed, they are both ”financially free” and the besties celebrated the big milestone by taking the legendary Emirates first class flight – one of their priorities in the bucket list.
”We have managed to automate and systemise our property business, so we can manage it remotely through our phones and laptops.”
Looking at how far they’d come, Leena said: ”It’s crazy to think that this is our lives now. I hope this gives hope to you watching this.
”If we can do it then you can too!
”Work hard, play hard! If you take action and stay consistent, then there should be no reason why you can’t win in life.
”I’m rooting for you!”
