I stopped wearing bras, trolls say freeing the cherries will cause health problems and make them saggy but they’re wrong
A WOMAN who stopped wearing bras has hit back at trolls who think she’ll develop health problems.
Kaylee, a software engineer and photographer, often uses her social media account to share insights about her life and is vocal about her feelings about the use of bras.
Despite this, she has been met with some backlash over her choice to “free the cherries”.
And in one video she decided to address one comment directly, which read: “Bro can’t you get several health problems for not wearing bras?”
Dressed in a pink jumper alongside a pair of grey trousers with her raven hair styled down, she replied: “There is no reason to wear a bra.”
She continued: “If you’re finding them uncomfortable, you can just ditch them and set your cherries free.”
TikTok user @kikakaylee went on to claim that there are “no known health risks associated with not wearing a bra”.
“And there are actually studies online to show that bras can cause sagging,” she continued.
“So if you are hoping to just wear a bra every single day and they’ll stay nice and perky, well you’re better off just setting them free.
“Because then your muscles and tissue can become strong and they’ll support themselves and stay nice and healthy.”
The study Kaylee referenced is one conducted by Jean-Denis Rouillon, who conducted a 15-year study on the matter.
He measured changes in breast feature of hundreds of women between the ages of 17 and 35 for over a decade.
According to Medical News Today, he found that “women who never wore bras had nipples on average seven millimetres higher in relation to their shoulders each year than regular bra users”.
He said: “Medically, physiologically, anatomically – breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity. On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra.”
People who watched Kaylee’s video immediately flocked to the comments to share their opinions.
One person wrote: “LMAO I’m dying at the fact someone spread this rumor”.
Another said: “that comment lmao,” alongside a crying emoji.
While a third added: “if not wearing bras would cause health problems women would be born with it.” with a facepalm emoji.
