I filled my kids Christmas stockings with charity shop finds, including ‘adorable’ Sylvanian Families figures for £9
A CLEVER woman has revealed she’s managed to buy her children’s Christmas present from just charity shops and second hand finds.
Hannah Megan often uses her social media to share her insights into family life as well as give advice on home education.
But in one video, she couldn’t help but show off all the incredible items she’d managed to pick up from different charity shops for her kids to enjoy come December 25.
Admitting that she’s a bit “behind” on the Christmas shopping, she revealed that she had loads in her Amazon basket ready to go.
But before that, she went to a charity shop and bought lip glosses for each of her three girls.
“That was £3 for the pack, so £1 each,” she explained.
Bringing out a bottle of ‘Foaming Soap’, she went on: “They loved this stuff from last year so I got it again. They’ve each got foaming soap.
“And these are £1.25 each.”
Hannah also got something called wooshi, which is a sensory toy that fired glitter into a rainbow when squeezed.
She bought several for £3 each after she herself was “massively overstimulated in Bluewater [shopping centre] the other day”.
“It was just slightly unnecessary, but I think they’ll love them,” she said.
She then revealed an item she got as a proper present over a stocking filler.
“I got my daughter this from a charity shop,” she said after whipping out a Dinosaur themed word search that cost her £1.99 from Oxfam.
TikTok user @hannahhomeeducates then shared some of the things she got her eight-year-old, including the Sylvanian giraffe family.
Showing them off, she shared: “They look brand new, so I just need to wrap them nicely.
“How cute! It is like the baby. So cute. And then another Sylvanian family, these are the otters.
“And they’re so expensive new online they were like between 30 and 40 quid and I think they were £9. So it’s like two adults and two babies. How cute is that?”
Hannah said that while it was “slow progress”, she was getting there with all the presents.
People were quick to comment on the post, sharing the bargains they managed to get too.
One person wrote: “I got my son heelies for £5 on Vinted look like they have never been worn”.
Another said: “My biggest “bargain” is that my daughters main Christmas present is the Playmobil Victorian house & furniture etc that I got for my 4th birthday”.
While a third added: “My son loves funko pops and in home bargains I’ve got him a jaws funko pop game for £3.99 (he loves sharks) and a snap game with a mini funko pop in”.
