Only Connect fans convinced host Victoria Coren Mitchell is ‘trolling’ them on BBC show after string of complaints
ONLY Connect fans were left convinced that host Victoria Coren Mitchell was trolling them with an interesting choice of headwear on a recent episode.
The game show presenter was spotted on screens wearing a floppy red hat with an enormous brim.
Viewers were left baffled by the choice of accessory, which made her look as if she was on her way to a wedding.
Some were convinced she had only worn the hat to ‘troll’ audience members who complain about her outfits.
One person mused: “Surprised how many people are wondering why VCM was wearing a hat on Only Connect, when the answer – as always – was that it was purely to troll the people who only watch the show to complain about VCM wearing a hat.”
And if that was Victoria’s plan it worked, as many baffled viewers took to X to question what she was wearing.
Someone asked: “Ok so why was Victoria Coren Mitchell wearing the hat? I tried very hard to concentrate and see the in joke to explain it but missed it. Anybody?”
Another queried: “Did I miss the reason for the hat?”
A third added: “Victoria Coren – what’s the story with the red hat??”
One person was not a fan, complaining: “No, can’t be doing with the hat – it’s too big and the pink colour doesn’t go with the blue dress.”
