I’m a gypsy married to a non-gypsy – and he chose me because we make better housewives than ordinary people
A GYPSY woman has opened up about why her non-gypsy husband loves being married to her – especially when it comes to her cooking.
Tracey King and her man Mark have made a name for themselves on social media thanks to Tracey sharing snippets of their life together, including all of her recipes he can’t get enough of.
And in one of her latest videos, Tracey, who is a proud gypsy housewife, implied that one of the reasons that non-gypsy Mark chose to be with her as he prefers to eat “gypsy food” that she prepares for them both.
In the clip posted to her TikTok account @traceywinter titled ‘when your husband’s a non-gypsy but only wants gypsy food’, she decided to give her 238k followers a glimpse into one of the secrets behind their happy relationship.
As the camera captured an array of ingredients, including carrots, potatoes, bacon and sausages. She explained: “Simple dinner tonight.”
Tracey then showed how she’d placed lots of sausages and rashers of bacon into a slow cooker with cherry tomatoes, sliced mushrooms and some beef stock to cook for a couple of hours.
Once the casserole inspired dish was ready, she then served it with swede, carrots and mashed potatoes.
And Tracey – who is part of a community where wives typically are in charge of all of the cooking and cleaning in the home – rounded off their meal with a dessert of banana custard
She later told her followers: “Ain’t it funny, Mark’s a non-traveller, but he prefers all gypsy dinners to anything else.”
Meanwhile, she also ensures their home is clean at all times – something she said the rest of the family struggle with.
In another video where she showed how untidy her kitchen was after one day, she said: “Tell me how they make such a mess every single day.”
Her face then appeared on screen, as she continued: “Do you know, it took me two and a half hours to clean the kitchen?”
She then joked that her family can be “slobs” and described their mess as a “tornado”.
But Tracey said while Mark loves that she can whip up a good meal and keep on top of the tidying, another thing that keeps their relationship on track is that Mark more than pulls his weight.
Tracey has been open about her struggle with fibromyalgia – a medical disorder that affects muscle and soft tissue in the body.
As a result, the influencer suffers from fatigue, which leaves her too tired to cook on the odd occasion.
“So you all know that when I’m not well, Mark will cook,” Tracey previously explained.
She later added that Mark was her “everything” and “her king”.
