Fans go wild for huge Hollywood franchise’s ‘epic’ TV show they’ve ‘waited 10 years for’
THE TRAILER for Apple TV’s new World War II drama has dropped and fans can’t wait to watch the show.
Masters of the Air stars A-list Hollywood actors such as Ncuti Gatwa, Barry Keoghan and Austin Butler.
Audiences have been whipped into a frenzy of excitement now the drama has a release date, saying they have ‘waited ten years’ to watch it.
The historical epic follows the story of pilots who were responsible for bombing Nazi Germany.
Members of the 100th Bomb Group dealt with a lack of oxygen, freezing conditions, and air combat as they flew out on their mission.
In the preview Austin Butler, who plays Major Gale Clevan, can be seen partying with his girlfriend in precious last moments before he is sent out on another dangerous assignment.
The elite squad are told to pursue “complete and total air superiority”, no matter what the cost.
Fans can expect many tense battle scenes, as the trailer shows planes going down in flames when the Luftwaffe try to defend their airspace.
The show’s synopsis revealed the grim fate of many Allied pilots, saying a huge amount of the brave soldiers were either shot down and captured or had their planes blown up and died.
The show is based on a book with the same name, and is part of a Hollywood World War II franchise which includes shows such as The Pacific and Band of Brothers.
Fans flocked to social media to share their excitement for the drama, which is expected to premiere on Apple TV Plus on January 26.
