Fans convinced I’m A Celeb stars are ‘given extra food’ after spotting ‘clue’ on show
I’M A Celebrity fans are convinced that the campamates are being supplied “extra food” after spotting a huge clue on the show.
ITV viewers have come up with a wild theory that the celebrities are feasting on more than is show on screen.
One eagle-eyed viewers shared a photo that showed one of the stars appearing to eat a food item from a plastic wrapper.
They wrote: “What’s this?,” prompting another person to respond: “It looks like one of those health food protein things.”
But someone else stepped in and explained that the contestants are given fruit with their dinners, so the picture simply shows the celeb chowing down on what might be a banana.
This person said: “They get fruit each night that the camp mates normally have for dessert but in a past season I remember someone saving theirs for the next morning (and rightly making a fuss when Boy George ate it).”
A second echoed: “They get fruit with the dinner parcel.”
This viewer tried to end the speculation and commented: “It’s a small banana. The skin is thinner and they’re fatter.”
It comes after fans were left baffled when Nick Pickard appeared to be tucking into a panini during last night’s episode.
Hollyoaks star Nick, 48, looked like he was holding a sandwich in a brown bag, according to perplexed ITV1 viewers.
This came as a particular shock as it’s well known that no additional food is to provided to the stars, beyond rice and beans and what is won in the Bucktucker Trials.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one person asked, “Is that Nick eating a sandwich?” while another added, “Was that a sandwich in #nick’s hand?”
Someone else questioned, “What did Nick have in his hand? looked a bit like a sandwich/burger in brown paper.”
But an insider told The Sun: This is the bags the rice comes in. You saw Nigel using one as a bin bag yesterday cleaning up camp.
Later in the instalment, Nick was the fourth to be given the boot from the show.
