My wife’s new job has meant we’ve stopped having sex
DEAR DEIDRE: Since my wife got a high-flying new job, she has completely gone off having sex with me.
She now earns double my salary but we have less than half the sex.
It’s making me feel rejected and unattractive.
We’ve been married for 11 years and have one son, who is eight. I’m 37 and she’s 38.
Before she went back to work, we romped at least twice a week, sometimes more. Now, I’m lucky if we do it once a month.
I’m always the one who initiates it, and when she says no she makes me feel I’m bugging her.
I don’t want to risk being rejected again, so it’s putting me off trying.
I now fear that we’ll never have sex again.
How do I make her fancy me once more?

The disparity in your earnings may also be causing tension in your relationship.
Perhaps on some level you feel emasculated.
You need to talk to her and tell her how you are feeling. Ask her to be honest with you.
