Taking to Instagram, Jessica shared both a before and after picture of herself on her Stories.
The before shot showed the new mum grinning at the camera while pushing her pram during a walk.
In the after shot, Jessica looks considerably more svelte and is wearing a tailored khaki jumpsuit with belt.
The soap star said the first picture was taken just nine days after her son River was born. The second was taken now, nine months later.
Jessica captioned the photos: “Postpartum, 9 days, 9 months.
“A lot of people have messaged me about my weight loss.
“I wish I had a magic formula or could say I did something specific but I didn’t. I don’t even think it was breastfeeding!”
She continued: “Being a mum who has a very active baby and doing a lot of walking and baby carrying and dancing has been my exercise!
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the gym in the new year for the mental clarity it gives me but grateful to be strong and healthy for my little boy.
“That’s the most important thing x.”
Jessica and her husband Nicholas Willes announced they had welcomed their ‘miracle’ baby River in March this year.
The star, who has appeared in Hollyoaks since 2005, had previously told fans that she’d had two miscarriages.
When sharing the news of her pregnancy with her fans, Jessica penned: “Nick and I have been on a rocky road to get to this point.
“Miscarriage is awful, there is no other word for it.
“It robs you of the future you had planned, your faith in your body, it’s isolating, lonely, frightening and nobody seems to talk about it. It’s incredibly painful, it’s pass out in your bathroom painful.
“It takes away the joy and excitement when and if you choose (and are able) to get pregnant again. It’s replaced by anxiety, stress and more fear than I ever could have imaged.
“Nick and I lost two babies in 2021. Both losses were at the end of the first trimester and completely heartbreaking.”
She added: “In a cruel twist of fate, when I got pregnant the second time, the character I play on Hollyoaks was pregnant too.”
Jessica detailed how she had to continue her character’s pregnancy storyline until the birth following her second miscarriage, and said she was left “broken”.
