I had to CUT off my £80 fake lashes to get my passport picture approved – I think they were just jealous
SHE wanted to look as stunning as possible when getting her passport picture taken.
But one woman found her attempts to stand out backfired dramatically – and she ended up taking to her £80 fake lashes with a pair of scissors in a bid to get the snap approved.
She took to TikTok to share a video of her friend prepping the scissors to snip off the lashes, as she wrote over the top: “POV: I had to cut off my £80 lashes for a Nigerian passport“.
“Nigeria embassy will humble you,” she added in the caption.
People in the comments section were quick to have their say, with many admitting they’d found themselves in similar situations with passport pictures.
“Same happened to me,” one wrote.
“Luckily Nigerian lash techs are actually good or that would’ve been the trip done!”
To which the woman replied: “Damm, sometimes I feel like they do this out of jealousy coz I don’t understand!”
“They tried to do the same to me but i argued & paid some people and they let me keep them on,” another said.
“Omg this happened to me,” someone else said.
“Literally pulled out my individuals!”
“I had to rent a wig to cover my blonde braids,” a third recalled.
“I had blonde Fulani braids and they told me in Nigerian embassy in Nig you ‘can’t snap with coloured hair’,” someone else wrote.
“They had to give me one small pixie wig!”
“No way lol that passport will have to wait,” another added.
“Omg I had to, needed the passport urgently,” the woman replied.
“I’m Zambian and I had to take off my braids and my earrings for my passport pic,” someone else said.
As another wrote: “They made me do this too, the anger in my photo was serious!”
“I had to take my nails off to get fingerprinted,” someone else said.
“Lol I had lashes and nose piercing. I had to take out the nose piercing but they didnt say anything about my lashes,” another admitted.
