I work in finance and my manager said my outfit wasn’t appropriate – I had to borrow a guy’s blazer to cover up
MOST workplaces have some form of dress code in place and one woman learned this the hard way.
An office worker revealed that she was made to cover up with a co-worker’s blazer.
In her video, Andrea (@andreamora_5) modeled the offending outfit for her followers.
The TikToker explained that she worked in the banking industry when the incident happened.
“When you work in finance and your manager tells you your outfit is not appropriate, so you have to borrow one of the banker’s blazers,” she wrote.
Andrea filmed herself in the mirror of her office’s bathroom as she posed in the look.
She could be seen wearing a short black dress with tights and thigh-high boots.
Layered over the look was one of her colleague’s black blazers, rolled up at the sleeves because it was too big for Andrea.
The finance worker said she felt the situation summed up her experience in the industry.
“Tell me you work in finance without telling me you work in finance,” she captioned the clip.
Andrea poked fun at the dress code violation by using a viral TikTok sound from Matilda The Musical.
“We’re told that we have to do what we’re told but surely sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty,” the character said.
One of Andrea’s followers shared the unspoken rule for outfits in the financial field.
“Fingertip rule and no cleavage in finance always,” the TikTok user wrote in the comments section.
Another woman shared her “iconic” Christmas look that her viewers have called inappropriate.
A grandmother received backlash after modeling an outfit that trolls said was not suitable for her age.
