Huge 00s presenter makes rare return to TV after shunning limelight for radio
A HUGE 00s presenter has made a return to TV after shunning the limelight for radio.
Kate Thornton has delighted fans by revealing she’ll be back on the box this weekend.
The former X Factor presenter will star on the Christmas edition of The Hit List.
Writing Instagram, the 50-year-old told fans: “Tonight at 6pm I show my frankly unattractive violently competitive nature alongside @greggawallace on @bbchitlist.
“I am leaving the country on Boxing Day – possibly to start a new life under a new identity – depending on how kind they were to me in the edit.”
Kate could be seen posing with MasterChef star Gregg Wallace on the set of the BBC One show.
Presented by Marvin and Rochelle Humes, The Hit List sees three pairs of either friends, family members or celebrities that have to name a series of songs or artists.
Times against them as once they hear it played aloud in the studio they have to blur the answer out to be in with a chance of picking up the cash.
Kate is best known for presenting the early series of The X Factor before she was axed and replaced by Dermot O’Leary in 2007.
In the years after Thornton has held guest presenting roles on Loose Women and This Morning.
These days the mum-of-one can usually be heard on radio, presenting her own show on Greatest Hits Radio.
