Savvy mum shares how she saves on the washing up for Christmas, but people aren’t sure if it’s ‘genius’ or wasteful
DO you love eating Christmas dinner but hate all the washing up?
A savvy mum has shared her very genius solution for getting round the issue and people are claiming it’ll save so much time.
Jayne Nunn shared how she serves her roast dinner out of silver serving trays, which can go straight into the bin after the meal.
On her @jaynenunn921 account, she explained: “For those wanting to avoid washing up after the Christmas dinner.”
Her tip has clearly impressed numerous people who are fed up with cleaning multiple dishes after a big family meal.
One person wrote: “That’s actually genius.”
Another added: “This is an amazing idea! ergh, hate washing up!!”
A third commented: “Great idea n more time for drinks, chatting n spending time wiv the famalam.”
However, some pointed said it was “wasteful”, and others commented on the appearance of the trays.
One woman said: “if your going do it do dinner right these are tacky no way id eat out them ugh.”
It’s not the only time-saving hack being shared for Christmas day.
A mum-of-two showed how she loves being prepared for the festive season so starts cooking in September and then freezes the food.
Tahnee Beck, 33, is hosting seven people on December 25 and wanted to get ahead of the game.
She said in previous years she has been “preoccupied” on Christmas Day with getting the food ready.
Tahnee, from Norfolk, has already prepared meals for Christmas Eve, her Christmas cake and the veg for the big day.
Tahnee said: “I love Christmas – and a little prep helps me enjoy it even more.
“In the past I’ve been preoccupied with getting lunch ready and the day has passed me by.”
