Fashion fans are going wild as Oh Polly introduces a new way to shop their posh occasionwear gowns for as little as £17
BARGAIN-HUNTING fashionistas have been sent into a frenzy after realising you can now RENT stunning outfits from Oh Polly for a fraction of the price.
We all know just how important it is to look and feel your best when there’s a special occasion – whether that’s drinks with your friends, a birthday party or a date with your Romeo.
But rather than racing to the high street or venturing online to fork out a fortune for a brand new outfit, style lovers will be delighted to hear that Oh Polly Group, the owner of Oh Polly and the sports gear brand Bo+Tee, have launched a new rental scheme.
That’s right – now, you can sport your favourite fancy dress without paying the full price, and the website offers a number of Fabulous options.
Introduced around the Christmas party season, the service offers a collection of styles from both Oh Polly and Bo+Tee that are available exclusively through the Oh Polly website for rental wear.
According to the Retail Bulletin, the new service offers money-saving and eco-conscious shoppers the option of renting fashion bundles, including the Bo+Tee skiwear bundle which is available for £60 for a 10-day period.
Meanwhile, a loungewear and outerwear bundle is priced at £40 for 16 days, and you can even find cute outfits for as little as £17 for a total of four days.
The service, which is currently available only in the UK, is also size-inclusive, the brand proudly claimed on their website.
From glittery, figure-hugging maxi dresses to bedazzled mini frocks in a range of colours, the options are almost endless – and don’t worry, if you have a fuller bust, there’s something for you too.
Steve Brown, chief operating officer at the Oh Polly Group, said: “Partnering with Zoa to introduce a sustainable rental service is a significant step for the Oh Polly Group.
”We are dedicated to offering our customers not only the latest in fashion but also a conscientious way to enjoy it. This collaboration embodies our commitment to sustainability and inclusivity.”
Since its introduction around the festive period, the rental service has proved to be a major hit amongst fashionistas on social media.
Style lover Sofia Valladarres, who has a huge platform of close to 70k people on TikTok, described the new addition as ”an absolute power move”.
”Ladies, if you have big event coming up, you need to know that you can now rent a look from Oh Polly.
”They have the most stunning outfits.”
Advising fellow style lovers to not sleep on the news, Sofia went on to explain just how ”simple” the process was.
”All you need to do is go on their rental page, pick your item and your rental period and wait for your dress to arrive.
”This is perfect for any special occasion where you’re only wearing the outfit once.”
Sustainable & wallet-friendly
The rental fashion service is a relatively new concept in the UK, with its British pioneer, Hurr, launching in 2018 – however, as many are moving towards a more sustainable (and wallet-friendly) wardrobe approach, it’s expected fashion rental services will only continue to see a growth.
According to Drapers, GlobalData forecasted that the UK rental market will be worth £2.9 billion by 2029, Luxury London reported.
What’s more, not only can it tackle waste and help the climate crisis, such services, including cocoon.club and mywardrobehq.com, also offer a number of designer goods for a fraction of the price – a win-win.
