‘I’d look like a stuffed turkey’ joke shoppers as £10 Primark buy makes a return for 2024 with major design change
IF you’re a Primark superfan then there’s a good chance your drawers are already rammed full of seamless sets and underwear.
The bargain store is renowned for its comfortable range available in a huge selection of colours.
And with spring on the way, new seamless pieces have been launching in stores.
“New unitards have arrived”, gushed Primark staff as they shared a clip of the fresh stock on the rails at their East Kilbride shop in Scotland.
The £10 buy is available in three new colours this season – pale pink, cream and teal.
Eagle-eyed fashionistas also spotted that the cream version has a new design feature this year as one gushed: “They have a crossy back. Oh wow.”
Primark bosses hailed their fresh-look unitards as “a comfy layering or statement-making solo piece”.
They said: “No matter your stance, it’s hard not to want that kind of versatility in your collection and this cross-back option is certainly catching our eye.
“It boasts a form-fitting and seamfree silhouette for flawless layering, as well as a scoop neckline and sleeveless style to create a minimalist look.”
“Our favourite feature is the criss-cross back, which adds a chic detail that was made to be shown off”, they added.
“We’re loving it styled with a knit jumper and trainers for an effortless errand-running ensemble, but it’ll look just as good in your basket.”
But shoppers have been left divided over the bargain buy.
“I would look like a stuffed turkey in one of them”, fumed one.
“How do girls look so nice in them?”
Meanwhile, another added: “I can’t tell if I like.”
Others, however, are desperate to get their hands on the new unitards as one gushed: “Big fat need.”
A second chimed in: “I love these.”
And a third echoed: “Saw them in there today we need to go asap.”
And if you’re heading to Primark soon, keep an eye out for the “secret” department where you can get designer clothes for cheap – including D&G, Burberry and Valentino.
Launched last summer, Primark’s vintage stands are in partnership with Wornwell, a vintage wholesale company, and there are at currently 10 pop-ups nationwide.
Before you head to your local high street though, you’ll need to check whether your Primark is one of the 10 locations involved in the scheme.
Shoppers are also gushing over a £1.50 lip gloss that’s £24 cheaper than the Lancôme version.
Meanwhile, a beauty tool reduced to £7 has been hailed as “the only tool that keeps curls in my hair” by satisfied customers.
