Keep your clothes smelling fresh for weeks after washing them with 20p hack – and it can make your home smell lovely too
WE’RE a house proud nation obsessed with making our homes smell like meadows and the colourful corners of a flower nursery.
And this translates into our clothes too; everywhere we go, we want people to think we smell beautiful.
Luckily, there’s a 20p hack that covers both.
Trish Plume’s trick with Lenor scent boosters will keep your clothes smelling divine weeks after you’ve washed them AND fill your home with freshness.
Taking to TikTok, the mum-of-one revealed that she fills organza bags with Lenor scent boosters and leaves them in drawers around her house.
And if you want to take the hack one step further, you can use tumble dryer sheets in place of organza bags for maximum fragrance.
“I pop them in drawers and stuff,” she said.
“Just pop a little band over it, or a hair tie, and pop that in the drawer.
“How much better is that going to make it smell?”
Fans of the hack flocked to the comments section to call Trish a “genius” and vowed to give it a go themselves.
“What a great idea,” one penned. “You will save people lots of money.
“Love the smell too.”
“I did this this morning,” another added. “They smell amazing.”
Trish’s hack comes after a study found that one in five Brits worry about lingering smells in their home.
The survey found that 88 per cent of Brits said it’s important that their home smells nice even if it’s just them at home.
But this figure rises to nine in 10 when people are hosting guests.
Fresh and clean is the preferred odour of choice, ahead of citrusy and floral notes.
But the research also found that smells in the home also have an impact on people’s well being, with 60 per cent admitting it can influence their mood.
