Xbox players have DAYS left to grab £2.50 ‘fantastic survival’ bundle worth £25
GAMERS have days to take advantage of a “fantastic survival” bundle offer that’s been hiding in the Xbox Store.
The three-title-strong bundle, the Dead Island Definitive Collection, is originally worth £24.99 but is currently on sale for just £2.49.
That price means gamers can save a significant £22.50 on the set.
The Dead Island Definitive Collection includes the Dead Island Definitive Edition, Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition and Dead Island Retro Revenge.
The PEGI 18 franchise began with Dead Island in 2011, followed by Riptide in 2013.
The pair were remastered in 2016, the same year Retro Revenge hit the shelves.
Now the games have a 1080p resolution – a must-have by today’s standards.
The bundle is also co-op compatible with up to four people.
Although it’s important to note that online multiplayer requires an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass Core
The Xbox Store offer ends at midnight on 26 February – you can check it out here.
‘Killing zombies never gets old’
The bundle has been given 4.5 stars on the Xbox Store.
Meanwhile, reviews on Metacritic suggest the bundle is a steal at the current price – despite it’s close similarities to popular zombie series Dying Light.
In their review on Metacritic, IGN Swede wrote: “Dying Light is a better game, but it was Dead Island that started it all.
“If you want to take a vacation on a tropical Island during a zombie invasion, this is the game for you.”
Entertainment outlet We Got This Covered added: “Dead Island: Definitive Collection presents a lot of fun, albeit dated and repetitive gameplay for an affordable price.
“As a remaster, it’s not perfect, but that’s almost part of these games’ charm.”
For some, the zombie slaying genre is timeless.
The review from Gaming Nexus noted: “Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide are two great open world RPG’s in their own right but they are also fantastic zombie survival games as well.
“Killing zombies never gets old and the island is a beautiful place to explore.
“If you missed out on these games last generation, now is a good as a time as ever to try them out as they both feel like one huge game that provides hundreds of hours of non stop, zombie slaying fun.”
