My DIY home decor uses Dollar Tree and Walmart buys – people say it looks expensive and elegant
DECORATING your home doesn’t have to break the bank, and one woman proved just that.
The DIY enthusiast used items from Dollar Tree and Walmart to create a classy furnishing.
In her video, the TikToker, who goes by Budget Friendly Creations (@budgetfriendlycreations), demonstrated her homemade hack.
She showed her followers how to elevate their home decor using budget-friendly buys.
For her first step, the DIY pro spread glue around the rim of two gray bowls that she purchased for 50c each from Walmart.
Once the bowls were securely stuck together, she removed the labels and took out her glue once more.
This time she used the adhesive on the base of a patterned glass from Dollar Tree.
She then placed the glass on top of one of the bowls and left the glue to set.
Next, she used a can of Dollar Tree spray paint to cover both bowls and the glass in a white layer.
Once the paint had dried, she used ribbons, also from Dollar Tree, to complete the look.
She placed one of the metallic silver ribbons around the top of the glass.
The other ribbon was tied around the two attached bowls, covering the rims that were glued together.
As a finishing touch, she added blue feathers to the inside of her DIY vase.
She then placed the item on her shelf, alongside her glass ornaments and mirror decor.
Her followers heaped on the praise for the DIY vase in the comments section.
