My neighbor took petty revenge on a driver who fiendishly stole their parking spot – witnesses thought it was hilarious
A NEIGHBOR has filmed another neighbor taking petty revenge on a motorist who helped themselves to an assigned space.
Assigned parking in an apartment complex is often paid for as part of the tenant contract.
And as Moni on TikTok (@thatgirlmoni85) filmed and uploaded for her viewers late last year, tenants can be pretty fierce when it comes to their assigned parking spaces being occupied by someone who doesn’t belong in it.
As she was leaving, she filmed a scene that was hilarious for those who follow the rules of the assigned covered parking spot, but embarrassing for the one who did not.
A white Mercedes SUV parked in front of the car that took their spot, blocking them in so they were unable to leave.
It also let all the other neighbors in the complex know that they don’t take their spot being used by someone else lightly.
“So, we all got covered spaces… and look at how this car is parked,” said Moni, walking closer to the Mercedes to get a better view.
“Somebody else parked they stuff in their parking space, so I guess the [Mercedes] parked in front of it and I guess it’s been like that all night, so, story time.”
She giggles and mentions that she likes the white car, and begins walking back to her own car.
“When it’s time for that other car to leave, they’re not going to be able to leave,” she said.
“I don’t know, I thought it was funny, but maybe I’m tripping.”
She posted a second part to the video, where the owner of the white car came out to confront the thief two hours later, with Moni’s help.
“Told my neighbor I’ll be on the lookout,” she wrote as a text overlay.
Moni walked out into the parking lot and told the parking spot thief that they don’t have a choice but to ask the SUV owner to move their car.
“You’re going to have to go and knock on their door, they’re upstairs and they’re mad at you,” she said.
She giggles as she walks back into her apartment, and runs to her balcony in her bathrobe to wait for the ‘tea.’
The owner of the SUV, according to Moni, was all smiles when she heard her tell the offending vehicle owner they were in trouble.
Moni’s viewers were thoroughly entertained, and mentioned that the SUV owner should have called a tow truck.
“I would have called a tow truck,” one user wrote.
Another mentioned that the SUV owner could have taken it a step further.
“Girl, I would have made them wait another two or three hours before moving,” they wrote, followed by a shrugging emoji.
Many thought it was hilarious that she was in her bath robe while the neighbor drama unfolded.
“‘Minding my business’ while running out there to tell her she was in trouble and go find the neighbor, all with the camera, thank you for your service,” another comment read.
Moni responded that she works from home, so this was the most entertaining thing that she’d seen all day.
