I’m an ex nursery nurse – why you should never let your kid bring in a teddy from home, it’s the worst
A FORMER nursery nurse has shared the things that you should never give to your child to bring to nursery with them.
Heather, who is now a stay at home mum, shared her tips via a video posted to her TikTok channel @heather_mummyandme.

Heather’s videos are popular with social media users and she has over 16,000 followers on the video sharing platform.
The ex-nursery work explained that you should never send your child to nursery with loads of toys and teddies.
She said that these teddies and toys are likely to get lost as there is “so much to think about in a nursery” .
“It’s just one thing that you don’t want to have to think about”, she said.
“You don’t want your child to come home upset because they’ve lost their toy when no one even knew they’d even brought it in “.
Another of Heather’s tips is to not send your child to nursery with Calpol or any form of medicine and leave it in their bag.
Heather explained that nursery worker’s need to be aware of any medicine that a child needs to take and this needs to be signed off and documented before a child can take it.
The former nursery worker’s next tip is to not leave anything important or valuable in your child’s bag.
“Don’t leave anything in there that you don’t want to be left at nursery”, she said.
“The day before your child goes to nursery, check their bag and make sure it’s just full of nursery things”, she added.
Heather explained that she had found “all sorts” in children’s bags when she was working in a nursery.
She added that these things could easily go missing if they are accidentally brought into a nursery.
Heather’s final tip is to always label anything that you send your child to nursery with.
She said: “Label literally everything.
“You’ll thank me later”.

One user said: “My nephew’s nursery doesn’t allow toys as it causes too many arguments and disagreements with the children”.
Another user said: “Our nursery doesn’t allow Calpol at all.
