Parents race to Aldi as baby essential buy is slashed to just 29p – but you’ll need to move fast to nab one
PARENTS are sprinting to Aldi, desperate to get their hands on an essential baby buy that’s been massively reduced.
So if you’ve got a little one, or know someone who does, you’ve come to the right place.
Having a baby comes with a huge list of things that need to be bought – from babygrows and blankets, to teddies and dummies.
Not only this, but muslins and comforters are also sure to be at the top of many parents’ lists – and luckily for you, Aldi have slashed the price of a gorgeous Muslin Baby Comforter.
One savvy shopper was left stunned when she spotted the bargain buy when browsing the shelves in her local Aldi.
Thrilled with her find, Amy Hughes took to social media to alert other bargain hunters.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a whopping 2.4 million members, Amy shared a snap of her purchase – a Lily & Dan grey Muslin Baby Comforter.
Alongside the post, the Aldi fan penned: “Muslin baby comforters reduced to 29p in Aldi.”
The beautiful grey buy was once priced at 99p, but has since been marked down to 29p.
So if you fancy saving 70p (because every penny counts), then this buy could be for you.
The comforter, which is made from 100% cotton, is very sought after – and is even being sold for £9.99 on eBay.
But as we often see with Aldi’s middle aisle, once items get popular online, they tend to sell out very quickly.
So you’ll need to move fast to nab one before they sell out.
Amy shared her post just 16 hours ago, but it has quickly amassed almost 200 likes and 241 comments.
‘GET ME ONE!’
Shoppers were left open-mouthed at the bargain buy and many took to the comments to express this.
Many Facebook users tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the reduced find.
One person said: “If you see any, please get me one!”
Beg you take me to Aldi tomorrow please

Another added: “Keep a look out for these if you’re in.”
A third commented: “Will have a look next time I’m in.”
How to save money on your supermarket shop
THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.
You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.
If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.
Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.
Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.
This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.
Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.
If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.
Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
At the same time, someone else asked a loved one: “If your Aldi has any of these, get me two please.”
Whilst another tagged a bargain hunter and claimed: “We need an Aldi trip.”
Meanwhile, one savvy shopper asked a Facebook user: “Beg you take me to Aldi tomorrow please.”
