I’m a TK Maxx addict & managed to get a £550 dress for just £15 – here’s the exact tag you need to nab ‘insane’ bargains
A SELF-STYLED “TK Maxx addict” has revealed how she nabbed a £550 dress for just £15 at the off-price retailer.
Nina Maloney was scouring the rails when she came across Galvan London’s Persephone One-shoulder Dress.
The British designer’s gown is still stocked on The Outnet for £303 and Farfetch for £275.
But thanks to TK Maxx’s red sticker system, it had been slashed by an eye-watering 97%.
Complete with a stretch-knit twisted strap, the dress is made from 73% rayon, 25% nylon and 2% spandex – meaning it will hug you in all the right places.
Galvan London was founded in 2014 by four women – Sola Karadottir, Katherine Holmgren, Anna-Christin Haas and Carolyn Hodler.
The quartet, with diverse backgrounds spanning fashion, art and business, came together to create a label that offers contemporary, but also timeless, pieces for modern women.
Celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Gigi Hadid and Nicole Kidman have been spotted wearing the brand’s clothes.
Nina posted her Galvan find in Facebook group, TK Maxx UK Gold Label Finds.
WHAT’S THE TAG?
The Gold Label is a premium collection of designer and luxury products offered by TK Maxx.
If you love designer clothes, this is the tag you want to look out for on pieces.
The range typically consists of high-end items – such as dresses, sunglasses, handbags and jeans – from well-known designers.
It offers customers the opportunity to purchase luxury goods at a fraction of their original retail prices.
And as Nina found, the items could still be prices much higher in other stores – sometimes even still full-price.
“That Galvan dress is stunning!” one person commented on her post.
“Galvan is a well known brand if you buy luxury clothing,” another penned.
“It’s stocked by Net-A-Porter, Harvey Nichols and more.”
How Does TK Maxx Flog Designer for Cheap?
- TK Maxx follows an off-price business model to get designer products for cheap
- It buys merchandise from various brands and designers at a discount and then sells it to customers at lower prices than traditional retail stores
- The selection at its outlets often includes overstocked items, last season’s styles and goods from cancelled orders
Nina also picked up a Leonie dress with cami straps and a red paisley print for significantly lower.
Costing £230 at full-price, she found it red stickered for a cool £19.
Similarly, another shopper recently took to TikTok to reveal a pair of Loewe sunnies she found being flogged for £119.99 in her local TK Maxx.
And according to retailer Pret A Voir, Kendall Jenner was spotted wearing the shiny black frames last year.
They would have cost a whopping £310 to buy full-price.
