I transformed my frizzy locks with my 3-step routine – my hair is glossier & more manageable, plus I shed less
A DETERMINED woman has shared the three-step routine that transformed her frizzy hair.
Thanks to her favorite products and tricks, her hair’s more glossy and manageable with less hair loss.
Redditor The_Prolouger shared her haircare routine in a post.
“[The] haircare routine which has made my hair frizz-free and super manageable,” she said.
To clean her 2A-2B type hair, she starts with Minimalist’s $40 Maleic Bond Repair serum on her hair ends and shafts.
“I use around 2 droppers full because my hair is longish and I try to cover the hair ends thoroughly,” she said.
“This product is a holy grail for me it has transformed my hair and makes it so soft.
“The consistency is runny and does have a fragrance, but it’s mostly fruity and worth it in my opinion.”
Before showering, she also massages her scalp with Soulflower oil, leaving it in for three hours.
“I love this since it has a large combination of oils like castor, rosemary, etc which I like,” she explained.
“The consistency is very viscous though. But I think it’s very good for the hair, personally.
“During the oiling, I run a comb through my hair and remove all the fallen hair during this stage,” she said.
“This also leads to lesser hair fall during the shampoo phase.”
For shampoo, she opts for L’Oreal’s Professional Scalp Advanced for Scalp Flakiness and Dandruff and uses Dove’s Hair Fall Rescue Shampoo on her ends.
After shampooing, she goes in with the L’Oreal Absolut Repair Hair Mask.
“I love this product, it makes my hair silky shiny, and smooth,” she said.

Occasionally she adds Moroccan oil if her hair is still frizzy but in the months that she introduced the mask, she hasn’t felt the need to.
“I let it air dry, no heat. Usually while drying, it might get a bit frizzy but I tie it up in a braid and leave it overnight,” she said.
“[The] next day, my hair is perfect! I have also noticed lower hair fall.
“I try to do the whole routine when my hair starts feeling oily and scalp greasy which is definitely once every 4 days.”
Haircare enthusiasts were grateful for her advice and product recommendations.
“Thanks for sharing! I recently bought some of these and have had great results,” said one commenter.
“Girl, Maleic Bond Repair serum has become my holy grail too,” said another.
