My baby girl has a twin that hasn’t been born yet – people are so baffled when they see us walking down the street
A MUM has revealed that her child has a twin that hasn’t even been born yet and said that people are so shocked when they see her and her family walking down the street.
Jacqueline Woodwell shared her unique family situation via a video posted to her TikTok channel.
She revealed that she has a daughter who is 26 weeks old.
She is also 20 weeks pregnant, meaning that she got pregnant when baby Emma was just six weeks old.
Emma’s sibling will be born when she is just 10 months old.
Baby’s that are born less than 12 months apart are known as Irish twins, meaning that Emma has a twin that is not yet born.
Jacqueline revealed that people stare in shock when her family is walking down the street, as having two children so close together is not common.
The term Irish twins was initially used as a derogatory term aimed at Irish-Catholics who emigrated to America.
As Catholics do not believe in contraception, Irish families were often large, with children born close together in age.
Jacqueline does not seemed fazed by the close proximities of her pregnancies, and proudly showed off her bump whilst cooing at her daughter in the video.
Jaqueline’s video, which was posted under the username @jacquelinewoodwell, has gone viral, racking up 2.8 million views.
TikTok users raced to the comments section to share their thoughts, many of whom are shocked by Jaqueline’s pregnancy.
One person said: “I’m six weeks post partum and this is literally my nightmare.
“I cannot imagine getting pregnant again so soon”.
A second person said: “I was so confused.
“I thought they were twins but one didn’t wanna come out yet.”
A third person said: “Getting pregnant again when your firstborn is only a month old is crazy”.
A fourth person remarked: “I have a 11 months between two of my babies.
“It’s amazing watching them together.”
