Christine Lampard stuns Lorraine fans as she puts coin between her bum cheeks in rude game with Stephen Mulhern
CHRISTINE Lampard left Lorraine fans stunned as she put a coin between her bum cheeks in a rude game with Stephen Mulhern.
The broadcaster, who has been filling in for regular ITV anchor Lorraine Kelly this week, got more than she bargained for after being tasked with the challenge.
Lorraine show doctor, Dr Hilary Jones, 70, also got involved and the trio headed to the centre of the studio to take part in light-hearted segments linked to Stephen’s show, In For A Penny.
In the second task, Dancing On Ice anchor Stephen, 47, demonstrated first as he popped a coin between his bum cheeks before waddling to stand over a glass jar.
He then released his glute engagement to drop the penny into the container.
Dr Hilary then completed the challenge with aplomb yet Christine, 45, wearing high heels and olive green slim-fit trousers, struggled somewhat.
As she tried to fit the coin into place, she exclaimed: “Bum cheeks – are we all using the same coin?”
Squatting down, she added: “Oh my gosh this is really unladylike.
“You’re looking at my bum on camera four and this is terrible!”
After a failed first attempt, where the coin fell out well before she reached the jar, Christine took a second stab.
Yet, facing the same struggles, she added: “Oh my gosh this is really awful, this is really terrible.”
As the pound coin again dropped out, the star exclaimed: “Oh for goodness sake!”
Fans were left stunned at the segment, with one taking to X to brand it “about as funny as toothache”.
Another mused: “I dread to think that one day. That coin could end up in my wallet.”
A third then put: “This is jawdroppingly, mindnumbingly f**king painful,” as one remarked: “You can play along at home. No.”
Switch up
Christine will return to the presenting hot-seat tomorrow no doubt eager to avoid any similar cringeworthy mishaps.
We previously reported the new hosting line-up on Lorraine as the 64-year-old Scot enjoys an Easter break.
As the Thursday March 28 episode of Lorraine wrapped, she told viewers: “That’s all for today, Christine Lampard is here tomorrow.”
She then added: “You have a good day and Happy Easter,” revealing she will also be replaced on her Monday show.
Lorraine airs every Monday to Friday, from 9am to 10am.
Christine, a regular on Loose Women, often fills in for Lorraine during the school holidays.
