I’ve made £160 in two days on Facebook Marketplace – here’s my top tips and why Vinted is the best for reselling clothes
VINTED is undoubtedly the most popular selling site at the moment.
But Facebook Marketplace is fast on its tails, with one woman revealing she’s made a staggering £160 in just TWO days on Facebook.
Kate has been documenting her side hustle progress on her TikTok page, and revealed that this week, Facebook has been more successful than Vinted for her.
In fact, she has made £160 on Facebook Marketplace from Monday to Wednesday this week, as well as £39 on Vinted.
In a previous video, Kate revealed why she thinks Facebook Marketplace is the best up and coming selling site.
But she also said she will continue using Vinted when it comes to selling clothes.
“I have got another source of income which I’ve started and I’m gonna be doing is Facebook Marketplace,” she said.
“Has anyone ever sold anything on there? Cause I just think it’s fab.
“I think my clothes are sticking to Vinted and everything else is going on there.
“Like, I’m just shocked it’s so good!”
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “Nothing sells on my FB
“Really! It’s good round mine I think,” Kate replied.
She’s also been sharing her top tips for making money reselling clothes on Vinted, after making almost £200 on there in less than three weeks.
One of the biggest things she does is “like” other people’s posts – with her and her sister both liking each other’s listings.
“Me and my sister love Vinted so much, and as soon as I post something, she’ll get a notification,” Kate explained.
“So she’ll go on and like my items and then same, same goes – we do it for each other.
“I find by liking the items, somehow I feel not on every item, but it does boost it.”
If she’s struggling to sell an item, Kate said she’ll just message her sister and get her to like her items.
“And then obviously then I’d end up selling it, which is really good,” she said.
“So I don’t know if it kind of thinks, oh, you know, people are like interested in it now.
“So it puts it on people’s for you page or whatever you call it on Vinted.”
Another tip Kate sticks to is how much she uploads of an evening.
“Try and be organised, but don’t upload everything in one night,” she said.
“I would probably upload about 5, 6, 7 items max a night.”
“I have SO much stuff that i need to upload but it’s a whole task, takes about 2 hours to get it all uploaded,” one person commented on the video.
“Omg my tip! Do 5 items a night, don’t overwhelm yourself!!” Kate replied.
“I’ve just transferred around £75,” another added.
“It would of been more but I kept spending it haha!”
“4 months £300,” a third commented.
“Holiday deposit for next summer’s holiday!”
“I’m using it to pay off ours now!!” Kate replied.
“But hope it continues so I can go away next year too!”
“Ok I need to do this,” someone else said.
“Will pay my hol off in no time!”
