Our neighbour called the COPS on us for parking backwards – he whinges about everything so we hit back with 90p trick
A WOMAN revealed the genius way she got revenge on a “neighbour from hell” who harassed her family over a silly parking row.
The bitter feud came to a head after the man next door called the cops on them for parking “backwards”.

She claimed the “petty” resident was constantly picking on her kids for kicking their ball into his garden.
He also took exception to grass clippings being blown over their boundary line.
But, the most bizarre war was sparked after the nightmare neighbour called the police on her husband for parking his truck the wrong way.
She wrote on the platform: “Neighbour came out complaining about husband’s truck being backwards.
“So he promptly parked it in the side yard next to his house.
“Then took some stakes, put them in the yard and tied [a] ribbon around them.
“The guy’s motion detecting security cameras were sending alerts like crazy. It’s always windy where we live.
“Tonight he shut them off. Absolutely nothing he can do.”
Ribbon can be bought for as little as 90p, which makes this payback hack both simple and inexpensive.
But the confession invited a heated debate in the comment section.
One wrote: “No, you are parking it going the wrong direction on the street. That is illegal for safety reasons. Why would you do that? Repeatedly?”
But someone else offered more tips for revenge: “Buy a loud back up alarm for your truck. Back up slowly and keep the alarm on after you parked for a few minutes.
“Do this a few times a day till he complains. The logical solution would have you park backwards again.”
Is it illegal to park the wrong way round on the street?
Drivers who park their cars facing the wrong way could be slapped with a hefty fine, according to the Highway Code.
The ruled state cars must be parked facing the same way as the direction of traffic at night if you’re not in a designated bay.
This means motors are entitled to park the wrong way during the day.
But, if the vehicle remains the same way once the sun’s gone down, you could be handed a £1000 fine.
It can go up to an eye-watering £2,500 for goods vehicles or passenger vehicles over eight seats.
Rule 248 of the Highway Code states: “You MUST NOT park on a road at night facing against the direction of the traffic flow unless in a recognised parking space. Laws CUR reg 101 & RVLR reg 24.”
Parking facing the traffic in dimly lit areas can be extremely dangerous, according to one comparison site.
Experts at Scrapcarcomparison.co.uk, cars left the wrong way at are hidden in darkness to drivers passing by.
A spokesman said: “Motors parked the correct way would be visible and illuminated by headlights bouncing off the rear reflectors.
“In the Highway Code, rule 248 states: ‘you MUST NOT park on a road at night facing against the direction of the traffic flow unless in a recognised parking space’ – yet not many drivers are clued up on this rule and could be risking a substantial fine as a result.
“We’ve dealt with cars that have been written-off due to a passing car crashing into them as they have partly stuck out from a parking space.”
