I ditched the nail salon for £7 press-on nails from Amazon – they last almost a month & have saved me hundreds
A CASH-SAVVY woman has shared how to slash the beauty costs thanks to purse-friendly Amazon press-on nails.
If love a cheeky visit to the nail shop as much as we do, you will know that it oftentimes costs a pretty penny.
But now, as many of us are looking to save money wherever possible, getting your nails done professionally has become somewhat of a luxury.
This is why many money-smart beauty buffs are using press-on nails, including TikTok user Amanda West, who recently shared her very favourite bargain buy from Amazon.
According to Amanda, the online retailer’s GLAMERMAID almond-shaped nails last for almost a month, saving you a fortune in the process.
What’s more, not only is the beauty essential at a bargain price selling for an affordable £7, the gorgeous press-on nails also come in a wide range of colours.
Whether you’re after something more intense like a burgundy red or the on-trend purple chrome, there’s one for every taste.
In her video, however, Amanda had opted for a more neutral nude shade, making it the perfect pick for everyday wear.
”The colour and the shape is just so good,” the beauty enthusiast, @accordingtomandy, couldn’t stop raving over the bargain find.
The application process, Amanda demonstrated in the clip, was also relatively simple, starting off with removing cuticles and buffing every nail, which took her ”seconds”.
According to Amanda, who then clipped off the nails and gave them a good clean with an alcohol wipe, the preparation was key to making the press-on nails last longer.
Once done, it’s time to apply the special glue, ensuring you press the fake nails onto the real ones well and hold it for around five seconds, she instructed.
To complete the DIY manicure, Amanda used a nail file to achieve the desired length and applied a bit of nail cuticle oil to keep them looking ”fresh and brand new”.
”I literally do not get my nails done at the salon anymore because of these!” she wrote in the caption.
Since being posted on the platform, the video’s taken the internet by storm, winning the beauty lover over a whopping 700k views in just one day.
22k people gave it a like, as more than a hundred flocked to comments to share their thoughts.
One couldn’t believe the results, writing: ”They’re really pretty and it looks expensive.”
