Cheektowaga woman charged after having 3 juveniles in car during police chase

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Cheektowaga woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving intoxicated and fleeing police through three municipalities with three juveniles in her car overnight on Sunday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office announced.

At 1:44 a.m., the sheriff's office received a report from the City of Tonawanda police of an active vehicle pursuit entering Niagara County.

Officials said the suspect vehicle, a Chevrolet driven by 40-year-old Lisa Pasco, failed to yield during a traffic stop initiated by Tonawanda police. Pasco allegedly fled from police into the City of North Tonawanda and continued onto Tonawanda Creek Road in Pendleton.

A deputy saw the fleeing vehicle on Irish Road and joined the pursuit on Bear Ridge Road, which is when Pasco tried to turn onto West Canal Road, a dead end, officials said. Pasco was then blocked by police and taken into custody.

An investigation by police reported that three juveniles, ages 12 to 14, were in the vehicle during parts of the pursuit.

Pasco was charged with the following:

• first-degree reckless endangerment
• first-degree unlawful imprisonment
• aggravated driving while intoxicated
• first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation
• three counts of endangering the welfare of a child
• third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle
• second-degree obstruction of governmental administration
• reckless driving
• numerous vehicle and traffic law violations
