‘She’s getting beat up’: Man who assaulted girlfriend convicted after Barron Trump reported it to police

College student Barron Trump, President Donald Trump’s youngest son, has a presence on social media, and interacts with others routinely.

He’s also a hero there, having reported to police an assault he witnessed for a very brief period on a FaceTime call.

Now the assailant in that case, Matvei Rumiantsev, 22, of Russian, has been convicted.

The 19-year-old Trump had told investigators he placed a late-night call to a woman in London after meeting her on social media.

He was “startled when the call had been briefly answered by a shirtless man,” according to a report from Fox News.

“That view lasted maybe one second and I was racing with adrenaline,” Barron Trump said. “The camera was then flipped to the victim getting hit while crying, stating something in Russian.”

The report said the now-convicted Russian admitted he was jealous of the woman’s calls with Trump.

After a few seconds apparently showing the woman being beaten, the call ended, and the younger Trump contacted London police immediately.

On a recording, he’s asked about details, and he responded those didn’t matter as, “she’s getting beat up.”

Police responded to the address and arrested Rumiantsev.

The Russian was convicted of assault and “perverting the course of justice” after evidence showed he pressured the woman, from his jail cell, to recant her story.

He was cleared of several other charges.

The judge’s instructed jurors to treat Trump’s statements with caution as he did not testify in court.

Had he been there, the judge noted, “He could have been asked whether he actually saw the assault or whether he jumped to that conclusion based on her screams.”
