Mayweather vs. McGregor falls short of live gate record

Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, said 16 days before the Aug. 26 Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Conor McGregor fight that there was already $60 million in the bank for the live gate. After Mayweather stopped McGregor in the 10th round at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Mayweather said he believed the bout did a live gate of at least $80 million.
