UFC on Fox: Lawler vs Dos Anjos live results, discussion, play by play
Live, blow-by-blow updates for today's UFC event in Winnipeg, which features a welterweight contender fight as the headliner.
Join us today on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring, and play-by-play for UFC on FOX 26, which goes down in Winnipeg, MB.
The headliner will take place in the welterweight division, with former 170-pound champion Robbie Lawler taking on former 155-pound champ Rafael dos Anjos.
Live results and play-by-play will commence early, as is traditional with Fox cards, with the Fight Pass broadcast at 4:30pm ET/1:30pm PT. After one fight on the streaming network, the show will move to FS1 for six fights at 5pm ET/2pm PT. Then it’s main card time on big Fox at 8pm ET/5pm PT for four fights.

Nordine Taleb vs. Danny Roberts
Round 1 - They both land body kicks. Taleb smokes Stewart with a slapping head kick that sends Roberts into the cage. He’s holding onto it to stay upright, and Taleb blasts him with a right. It’s over just like that!

John Makdessi vs. Abel Trujillo
Round 1 - Leg kicks from Makdessi. Makdessi with a left as Trujillo lands. Eye poke from Makdessi. They stop for two minutes or so. Nice left hook from Trujillo on the restart. Makdessi with a low kick. Trujillo looks for a leg kick off of it but couldn’t get anything. Makdessi with a left, Trujillo with an uppercut. Makdessi dropped Trujillo with a short right that looked more like a pro wrestling clothesline. Now Makdessi lands to the cup. Cornuts cam...yup. Connected. Trujillo turned down the glove touch on the restart. He misses with a TKD kick and Trujillo lands a winging right. 10-9 Makdessi.
Round 2 - Makdessi with a leg kick. Lots of feinting. Trujillo shot in but Makdessi fought it off over to the cage. Trujillo stays at it and gets Makdessi down to his butt. Makdessi up and they break. Nice jab from Trujillo. Inside leg kick from Makdessi. They trade rights. Two jabs and a body kick from Makdessi. He stuffs a shot. Spinning back kick to the guts from Makdessi. Trujillo with an outside leg kick and two jabs. Nice counter left from Trujillo. Makdessi pressing the action. Body kick from Makdessi. Another jab from Trujillo. Body kick from Makdessi. 10-9 Makdessi.
Round 3 - Counter left staggers Trujillo a bit as moved forward with punches. Outside leg kick from Trujillo. Double jab from Trujillo. He lands a nice counter as well. Makdessi stuffs another shot. Makdessi with a body kick. Jab from Trujillo. Head kick from Makdessi. Trujillo scoops a single. They battle on the cage. Makdessi with a hard left hook. Hard left again. He spins. Trujillo tries to attack but can’t land. 10-9 and 30-27 Makdessi.

Oluwale Bamgbose vs. Alessio Di Chirico
Round 1 - Slow start for both men. They’re fighting at archery range. Bamgbose is really on his bike. Di Chirico is getting frustrated. Body kick from Di Chirico. Bamgbose lands a straight left and opens a small cut on Di Chirico. Body kick from Di Chirico. Bamgbose missed a spinning back fist and Di Chirico threw him to the ground right in the middle of it. He got up immediately though. Di Chirico misses with a left as Bamgbose circles away. The crowd is unhappy with the lack of action. Side kick from Bamgbose, and a body shot. Di Chirico misses with two half-hearted kicks. Bamgbose shoots in but doesn’t get anywhere. That was a total nothing round. I’m going 10-10.
Round 2 - Inside leg kick from Bamgbose. Di Chirico charges in but eats a counter right as Bamgbose circled out. Body kick from Di Chirico. Bamgbose with a right hook and a body kick. A whole lot of feinting. Di Chirico FINALLY gets inside with two punches, lands a knee to the chin and he’s out cold!

Round 1 - Mein with a combo and leg kick right away. Silva jabbing. They trade leg kicks. Silva shoots in but Mein fights him off. They work against the fence, and Mein throws Silva to the mat. He’s up right away though. Back against the fence. briefly. Mein scores with a left hook after the break. Silva misses with a wild right hook. Again. Mein with a nice combo and goes to the body. Silva with a long right and a left hook. Mein connects. Step-in knee to the body from Mein. Hard combo from Mein. Silva with a leg kick. Mein with a hard left. Silva still throwing wild shots that are easily avoided. Silva can’t get a takedown. Mein puts together a nice body/head combo finished by an uppercut. Mein landed an elbow that cut Silva high on his head. 10-9 Mein.
Round 2 - Silva with two lefts. Inside leg kick. Mein with a four-punch combo and an elbow. Mein then gets a takedown. He lands some lefts and elbows. More elbows. Silva isn’t doing much of anything from the bottom. Mein isn’t trying to pass, he’s just racking up damage. Rights now. Silva trying to control his wrists. Silva sweeps, but Mein reestablishes top position. They’re back up, and Mein is looking for a guillotine. 10-8 Mein.
Round 3 - They trade body kicks. Silva misses with a wild right but scores with the follow-up left. Mein scooped a single and got Silva to the mat. Mein traps Silva’s arm. Silva secures a body triangle to defend, and gets his arm out. Silva trying to get something going from the bottom, looking to secure a couple of triangles, but Mein shut them down. Silva actually trying to get up now with 1:10 to go, but he can’t. Mein moves to mount with 35 seconds to go. Silva tries to roll over. Mein takes his back. He can’t secure a choke before the horn. 10-8 and 30-25 Mein.
