Dragon enter final

RAJBIRAJ: Dakneshwari Dragon defeated Tilathi Koiladi Giants by two runs to advance to the final of the second Mayor Cup Saptari Premier League here on Saturday.

Dragon accumulated six points to finish second on the five-team table, while Giants and Bode-Barsein Thunders ended up with three points each. Rupani Riders had already made it to the final with seven points from four matches.

Defending champions Bajaj Khadak Warriors failed to record a single win and finished at the bottom of the table. In the last match of the league round, Dragon were bowled out for 101 runs in 19.5 overs before packing the Giants for 99 runs.

The final is slated for Monday. Top two teams will earn Rs 200,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.
