JOSE MOURINHO has turned down management offers so he is ready to step in at the Bernabeu if Zinedine Zidane gets sacked, according to reports.
The Portuguese gaffer has been out of work since his Manchester United sacking in December.
And according to Spanish outlet AS, the 56-year-old is holding off on a return to the game as he wants to be ready to take the Bernabeu hotseat if it becomes available.
Mourinho is said to be aware of the high regard in which he is held at Los Blancos and would love the chance to take the reins again.
