Andrew Luck's parody account had a hilarious tweet on his retirement

0

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck’s retirement drew countless inappropriate responses on social media. His parody account @CaptAndrewLuck, however, provided a tweet that felt absolutely perfect.

The account appeared in Dec. 2015 after memes of Luck as a Civil War general made rounds on the internet. With his scruffy beard, Luck looked like he belonged in another century. And so the internet riffed off that, with parody accounts like “Capt. Andrew Luck,” which provides relentlessly comedic posts that take the happenings of Luck’s everyday life and convert them into the life of a Civil War general.

Here is the latest installment following the news of Luck’s retirement.

Luck’s announcement was agonizing and heartbreaking, and the response on social media was unfairly critical. But it’s nice to find harmless comedy amid the swill.
