Ganguly, who is the only candidate to file nomination for the post of president, is set to head the BCCI, which will be confirmed at the board's AGM scheduled for October 23. However, he can be in the chair for only nine months because he has been holding posts in the Cricket Association of Bengal for the past five years. According to BCCI rules, an administrator can only serve six years on the trot.
