Watch the bizarre moment TV cameras switch to a car park during 93rd-minute VAR check in Israeli Premier League
A GAME in Israel proved that VAR is not just a shambles in the Premier League.
But it could always be worse as a game in Israel’s Premier League proved after VAR ended up showing footage in a car park.
During a game between Maccabi Haifa and Baitar Jerusalem, the referee was forced to check the monitor in the dying embers to confirm a handball inside the area.
While attempting to check a replay, the referee was left completely bemused when the footage showed a series of parked cars.
The camera appears to be held by a person who is walking through a car park.
Fortunately for the official, there were two cameras handy and thankfully the other was focused in on the action.
A penalty was awarded and Maccabi ended up finishing 3-1 winners.
Footage was uploaded to social media alongside the caption: “Luckily there were two cameras!
“Amazing what happened in Israel. In a match between Maccabi Haifa and Baitar Jerusalem, the referee asked for one of the VAR images… he was in a parking lot!”
One person joked: “Clearly shows the Honda offside.”
The Prem managers were among more than a dozen top European coaches who met at Uefa’s Nyon headquarters.
Klopp said: “VAR can be improved, it can.

“It will never be 100 per cent accurate, everybody knows that.
“But there are a couple of things that are not right.”
Klopp added that he and Guardiola had spoken and were in agreement about the need for things to be better.
