Teenager Hiromoto eying world title fight in 2020
On November 17th Eruka Hiromoto (5-0) [廣本江留香] will make her first defense of the OPBF female Minimumweight title, as she goes up against Sana Hazuki (7-4-1, 2) [葉月さな] in the main event of a show in Iwakuni.
Today it's been revealed in the Japanese press that if she wins the 19 year old Hiromoto will be getting a world title fight next year.
Reports in the press state that Hiromoto's team is in negotiations to land a world title fight in Spring 202o, though reports didn't reveal who was being targeted by the teenager and her team.
Although not an international name Hiromoto is quickly becoming an attraction in Yamaguchi prefecture, and this will actually be the first how in Iwakuni in more than 30 years.
Obviously if Hiromoto loses to Hazuki, which is certainly possible, then the world title dreams will need to be reassessed, if not just flat out cancelled, so this is a hugely significant bout for the fighter, despite the fact she is still only 19 years old.
